Chulu Far East Climbing

Trip Facts

The Chulu East Peak is located above the Manang Valley, facing the Annapurna massif. Its summit which culminates at more than 6000m offers a spectacular view of Annapurna II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Black Rock, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu.

A little used path leads to the base camp at about 4900m.

For those with experience of crampons and climbing with fixed ropes at a 45° angle, this summit of ±6000m presents no significant technical difficulty but does require excellent physical condition and to be well acclimatized to altitude.
