Thorong peak is one of the appropriate and perfect peak for beginners those who want to be climb 8000m mountains. Thorong peak is a bit technical mountain peak with the altitude of 6144 m. It is locate in the border of Manang and Mustang district which lie under one of the popular touristic destination of Nepal, Annapurna Conservation Area. It is just near to Thorong La 5416 m. Generally the itinerally of thorong peak is about 15 days but it is depend on the trekking routes. En route to thorong peak there you have seen lots of majestic mountian peaks like Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, IV, Pisang peak, Gangapurna, Chulu west, Chulu far east Yatung Khang etc. Throughout the village you get chance to blend with Tibetan Buddhism Culture along with as same as Himalayan vibes of Lungdar, Gumba, Mani wall, Chorten etc. This standart itinerary takes you in front of world's highest glacier lake "Tilicho lake" situated at the altitude of 4919m. As per the condition there you should have to spent 1 or 2 night in the tent before summit push at about 5420 m. On the day the professional mountain guide give you training of basic climbing techniques so that it will help you to get to the top.

  • Yes, the Annapurna circuit with Tilicho lake trek is more difficult than the Everest base camp trek. The Annapurna circuit trail has more challenges and includes many steep ascents and descents than the EBC trail. Likewise, the trek also crosses the highest mountain pass of Nepal.
