THE GREAT HIMALAYAN TRAIL

The Great Himalaya Trail is a route across the Himalayas from east end to west end of Nepal that includes a total of roughly 1700 kilometers of path. The Great Himalaya Trail covers 16 districts, ranging from Dolpo that connect with the Tibetan plateau to Dharchula which borders India.
In 2019, we had five clients from France to do Great Himalaya Trail(GHT). In this program we had 10 sections and 146 days to complete whole trek from west Simikot to east Kanchanjunga. We started our first GHT section from Simikot in 21st, July 2019 to 31st July. The first part of GHT was led by myself and It was quite stunning moment for me because I had led group after long gap in field. The first trek of part of GHT was succeed pretty good. I came back to office after finished first program. This is how the GHT program was executing by serially throughout Dolpo, Mustang, Manang, Manaslu, Lamtang, and so on. The End point was Kanchajunga. Most of the parts was led by Suk Gurung(Guide), Naresh Gurung (Assistant) and Mane Gurung (Cook) whose physical strengthen is so good. During the GHT we faced many obstacles in the office and in the field. One time we had delivered foods and equipment to the group by helicopter. I think it was quite tough than other once because we couldn't able to contact to group because of no network in high altitudes. Finally we got a success to completed the whole GHT program. I would like to thanks to all my office and field staffs who sincerely done their responsibilities and to the group those who gave us this wonderful opportunities to be being a part of GHT.
