The trek to Everest base camp in the Khumbu region is one of the busiest in Nepal. Not only are there superb views of Everest, the highest mountain in the world but also other magnificent summits such as Ama Dablan and Pumori. The route passes through many friendly villages. The inhabitants are the ethnic Sherpa known worldwide for their unique role in Everest expeditions. They are known for their hospitality and kindness and are excellent mountaineers.
